The Web Developer will work with the Director of Marketing & Communications to provide support, advice, create resources and advice to YWiB chapters. The Web Developer is responsible for providing support to YWiB chapters with website maintenance, ensuring consistency across website pages in terms of branding, content and usability as well as troubleshooting issues. The Web Developer ensures that YWiB showcases a consistent, united brand with reliable messaging and navigation on our website to members and the general public. The Web Developer will also take ownership of projects related to the website. The Web Developer reports to and works with the Director of Marketing & Communications.


Description


We want to leverage the Young Women in Business (YWiB) brand and reputation to help us strengthen our existing relationships and build new ones. We’re eager to shape lasting relationships with our members, chapters and communities through multiple channels.



The Web Developer will work with the Director of Marketing & Communications to provide support, advice, create resources and advice to YWiB chapters. The Web Developer is responsible for providing support to YWiB chapters with website maintenance, ensuring consistency across website pages in terms of branding, content and usability as well as troubleshooting issues. The Web Developer ensures that YWiB showcases a consistent, united brand with reliable messaging and navigation on our website to members and the general public. The Web Developer will also take ownership of projects related to the website. The Web Developer reports to and works with the Director of Marketing & Communications.



WE’RE LOOKING FOR YOU:



You understand the importance of a well-functioning website and are experienced in handling requests and dealing with multiple clients. You enjoy being behind-the-scenes and helping things run smoothly. You’re happy to be a support and resource and are invested in professional development for young women across Canada.



WORK PERFORMED



● Serve as a point of contact for all city and university chapters requests, questions, and concerns.



● Ensure strong communication of relevant information within the organization.



● Website production, modification and maintenance for National and chapters as needed, as well as providing troubleshooting.



● Project management of all website related projects.



● Develop and document website processes and resources to help chapters with website maintenance.



● Support the Director of Marketing & Communications in developing and training chapter executives on website update procedures and protocols, as well as providing support and resources to chapters across Canada.



● Identifying areas for facilitating connections in cross-chapter collaboration.



● Research and develop a website platform optimization strategy.



● Attend monthly meetings including but not limited to:



o YWiB National team.



o All chapter presidents.



o YWiB National Marketing & Communications team.



QUALIFICATIONS



● Demonstrated experience using content management systems for content and design updates (SquareSpace preferred.)



● Knowledge of CSS and HTML is required.



● Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.



● An ability to learn and adapt quickly and be a proactive problem solver.



● Highly organized, a self-starter, ability to prioritize and multitask.



● Love working with people and meeting deadlines.



● Have a go-getter attitude.
