Managers who build connections with other teams and divisions and coordinate cross-functional collaboration.What you will doThe Regional Sales Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the selling activities of Sales Representatives under their supervision in accordance with budgeted objectives in order to obtain maximum profitability and volume in relation to pre-set standards. Candidates for this position must build and shape a strong team and serve as a key member of the Medical leadership team, while championing Stryker’s Mission and Values. Coach, develop and lead direct reports by providing developmental and growth opportunitiesBuild and maintain exceptional employee engagement throughout the departmentOversee individualized training and development plans for all staffConduct employee engagement sessions annually, and create and execute action plans based on these sessionsResponsible for departmental compliance with company policies and corrective actionsResponsible to live and exemplify Stryker’s Values: Integrity, Accountability, People, and PerformanceLocates, interviews, and hires top level sales talent for Stryker Sage Sales RepresentativesTrains and develops new Stryker Sage sales personnelSets overall regional goals and territory quotas and evaluates their performance against these goalsDevelops plans in accordance with the Business Unit Director, Medical to maximize sales opportunities in the regionDevelops and recommends strategic plans with representatives to achieve greater market share/penetrationEvaluates performance and takes corrective action where appropriate with sales representatives under their supervisionPrepares monthly highlights and necessary reports to keep the Senior Management adequately informed of progressAssists in the negotiation of sales transactions and divisional agreementsCoordinates and distributes funds out of a regional budgetDevelops and motivates sales personnel to meet stated objectivesConstructs new sales territories in order to facilitate company growthWorks with marketing department to keep sales force informed of new information pertaining to the marketAbide by and support the policies set forth in the Stryker Code of ConductUnderstand that compliance with the Code of Conduct, as it may be amended by Stryker Corporation from time to time, is a condition of continued employment with StrykerConduct work in compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations and in accordance with Stryker’s high ethical standardsReport any violations of these policies and procedures to Stryker management or in the manner outlined in Stryker’s Ethics Hotline PolicyExcellent organizational skills - Must be able to routinely make decisions regarding strategy as it pertains to sales representatives’ territory activityMust be able to generate and explain detailed proposals, guidelines, and proceduresExcellent interpersonal skills - Must be able to impart fundamental product and sales knowledge to newly hired representativesExcellent analytical skills - Must be able to analyze regional market potential and effectively create sales territoriesPossess ability to identify and hire outstanding talent - Must be able to analyze and make decisions regarding personnelWhat you needB.B.A. or B.S. in business with an emphasis in Sales leadership or related disciplineM.B.A. or minimum of 3 years management experience required10+ years of work experience required3-6 years of sales and/or sales management experienceInternal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be consideredWhat We OfferA winning team driven to achieve our mission and deliver remarkable resultsQuality products that improve the lives of customers and patientsAbility to discover your strengths, follow your passion and own your own careerLearn more about Stryker: https://www.stryker.com/
