As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be selling high-quality customized rebars to retailers, contractors, distributors, and architects. You will be responsible for identifying prospective accounts, building relationships, and closing. The position includes a $60K base salary, commission, perks, and the ability to earn $80,000+ in the first year.



THE COMPANY & CULTURE



This client is a wholly-owned Canadian family business that has been in the construction and development industry for over 30 years. They are a full-line supplier of steel products to the drywall and structural steel framing industry. They opened their first metal products facility in Mississauga, with a 200,000 square foot Indoor warehouse, manufacturing facility, and outdoor storage of half a million square feet. The company is launching a rebar division in the next 60 days and looking to build the sales team.



THE LOCATION


Office Location: Mississauga, ON
This is an outside sales role with open territory
A combination of working from home and the office (come to the office for meetings once in two weeks)

THE PRODUCT/SERVICE


The company is selling rebar, steel studs, and structural steel.

This new hire would be selling primarily Rebar related products within the new division.

Retailers, Contractors, Architects, and Distributors.



THE POSITION



As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be selling high-quality customized rebar to retailers, contractors, distributors, architects, and engineers. You will be responsible for identifying prospective accounts, building relationships, and closing.



PRODUCT & SALES CYCLE



Rebar division is a new department, Product and Sales cycle would vary on potential opportunities.



TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES


Prospecting/Lead Generation - 25%
Cold Calling - 25%
Presentation/Closing -25%
Account Management/Upselling - 25%

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS


Base: $50k-$60k plus commissions
First-year OTE $80k+

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND


Minimum of 3 years outside sales experience within the construction industry, ideally selling rebar, concrete or related products.
An existing client base of contractors, retailer, and architects

RFP experience an asset.

EDUCATION



Post Secondary Education, or professional equivalent experience.
