Are you ready for an entry level sales role? The Inside Sales associate is designed to promote the development of the successful candidate who has achieved the academic requirements, may have practical lab experience and has demonstrated a sales aptitude applicable to the position, but lacks sales experience in our industry. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity and be expected to learn & develop those skills necessary (as structured by management) to perform all job duties.



Understand and utilize product features, benefits, and applications accompanied with selling skills to identify and qualify leads, initiate the sales process & successfully promote and consummate the sales of SCIEX aftermarket products and services to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan. Effectively handle all stages of the sales cycle and manage the customer experience. The position coordinates sales processes for assigned accounts, primarily via the telephone and e-mail but also using face to face sales techniques for an assigned geography in accordance with approved sales and marketing plans. Negotiate contracts, fixed price services, consumables, software licenses and part orders, and creates sales strategies to meet/exceed the sales plan. Demonstrate use of telephone selling skills, such as making good opening statements, connecting with the customer, building relationships, asking open-ended and high gain questions to determine needs, provide solutions through the use of our products, creating the value proposition and closing the deal. Partners with and learns from colleagues in field sales, customer success manager, application, technical specialists and field service to develop and implement successful account and or selling strategies. Manages opportunities in SFDC (CRM tool), SFDC sales funnel is managed real-time and assumes ownership and accuracy. Prospect and develop relationships with new customers. Coordinate ongoing customer relationships with a particular focus on up selling and cross selling. Increase Aftermarket Sales by promoting campaigns, digital marketing, sales organization activities, and customer inquiries. Navigates to identify the key decision makers and influencers while qualifying new business leads/opportunities. Make outbound telephone calls to all organizational levels and functional areas where purchasing decisions are made Utilize data sources to analyze and develop sales opportunities with the greatest ROI. Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills who is a team player. COMMUNICATION – build relationships and problem solving in the moment with clear details, facts, and follow-up activities. Communicates with scientist, purchasers, etc. at all accounts for product information, sales materials and information through telephone, email and written correspondence. Communicating account objectives and action plans to management via daily or monthly interactions in a timely and complete manner. Meet ALL sales call objectives Develop organizational skills necessary to successfully run territory sales activities.



Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:




  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences or equivalent experience



  • Completion of additional college level courses in sales or marketing are desirable.



  • At least 1 year of successful experience in direct sales is preferred but not required




Additional Requirements:




  • 1+ years’ experience in a Sales role, prior experience selling service, consumables and software agreements is a big plus



  • In depth understanding of Life Science products and instrumentation and our markets preferred.



  • Usage of SCIEX instrumentation and software is a plus.



  • Travel required/Valid Passport/Valid Driver's License:



  • Meeting Vendor Credentialing requirements are an essential element of this position.



  • Strong Effective Communication; excellent oral & written communication skills, Superior telephone etiquette, build relationships and problem solving in the moment with clear details, facts, and follow-up activities, speaks credibly with customers, delivers a compelling message with ability to go off script.



  • Positive attitude with a great outlook to actioning objectives and works with integrity.



  • Ability to learn quickly with a willingness to obtain functional knowledge and understanding of company products, policies and procedures.



  • Strong negotiation skills with excellent listening, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to compile and present data, prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines, ability to work well in stressful environments and to remain calm and positive in adverse situations.
