If you’re interested in joining a rapidly growing team working to build a unique, world-class advertising group with a relentless focus on the customer, you’ve come to the right place.The Product and Sales Specialist organization are the voice of the customer and the field back to the Ads Product orgs, as well as the business owners for delivering on customer outcomes through the adoption of product solutions. This is a globally focused team that is responsible for owning interactions with each Product org, producing a stack-ranked set of Global Sales priorities, and influencing requirements, roadmap decisions and trade-offs. They also develop and implement global GTM strategies and sales plays, both for existing capabilities and new ones (e.g. betas, launches) in order to drive adoption and advertiser maturity.A Sales Specialist is a product expert who is dedicated to ad product groups (in this case video and devices) with opportunities for further product specialization depending on the required granularity of the region supported. Sales Specialists deploy a combination of both scaled and direct customer support. Sales Specialists execute known working sales plays and innovate through advertiser specific solutions in partnership with AEs and AMs. Sales Specialists will explicitly play an enablement role, and are brought in as needed to close business with high value customers - often focusing on delivering short-term progress (e.g. 6 months) against specific accounts with pre-identified adoption challenges.Key job responsibilities• Sales Specialists are technical product experts who use a combination of both scaled and 1:1 engagement through account pods in order to drive product solution adoption and increase conversion rates by executing sales plays and custom solutions, designed in partnership with the GTM Specialists.• Sales Specialists partner with their regional counterparts (Regional GTM Specialists) to customize and deploy WW crafted GTM strategies based on local conditions (e.g. product availability, advertiser and business maturity, Sales readiness, customer demand signals, etc.).• They articulate the voice of the customer and Sales back to the global Ads Product organization, through the Regional and WW GTM Managers, to help define product development priorities that set global direction for Ad Sales go-to-market.• Sales Specialists partner with Training, Marketing and WW Sales teams to: 1) Develop regional readiness priorities and delivery timelines; 2) Vet internal curriculum and external Sales materials, inclusive of insights; and 3) Establish readiness mechanisms designed to upskill AEs and AMs on core capabilities, including via standardized Pitch Practices (formerly Stand and Deliver) programs and Sales pod SME program.• Sales Specialists enable AE, ADM and AM productivity by enhancing readiness as well as advertiser maturity and product adoption.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS• Experience managing internal and external relationships with senior stakeholders, including Sales, Account Management, and Product groups• Demonstrated ability to close sales and generate revenue, with a focus on delivering long term customer driven outcomes• Manage customer objection handling and suggest alternative solutions as necessary to maximize the partnership opportunity• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), including the ability to present complex topics both in person, over the phone, and through concise document writing• Demonstrated strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data• Bachelor's degree or equivalentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Hands on working knowledge of digital media (e.g. DSPs, programmatic media, premium digital video, performance advertising)• Develop product and sales strategies that uniquely position products in market• Experience selling nascent products and/or services• Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners• Experience in generating and delivering big ideas that deliver new ad revenue streams• Demonstrated ability to drive simpler and scaled workflows for internal teams• Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously while defining and delivering priorities amidst ambiguityAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
