We are hiring a Senior Director, Pharmacy Primary Care and Preventative Services
In this role, you will be accountable for the leadership, management and performance of national pharmacy primary care and preventative services across the enterprise: development of strategy for growth, identification of infrastructure needed to effectively and conveniently implement services, guiding development of programs, services, and enablement initiatives that support our broader Connected Health Network Strategy.
You will grow pharmacy professional services across the country, focusing on primary care (e.g medication management, prescribing) and preventative care services (e.g. Vaccinations), to position Loblaw and its divisions, including Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix as leaders in convenient delivery of services in the community.
The role will report to the VP, Strategic Growth, Healthcare Services. You will be supported by cross-functional groups to deliver strategy, product/technology roadmaps and marketing campaigns to meet or exceed financial plan. Collaborating closely with your peers on joint technology and service roadmaps, store needs and digital connected health, this role will be instrumental in transforming how our pharmacies are viewed in consumers' minds as hubs in their communities for basic primary and preventative care services.
What You'll Do:
Lead the development of a plan for growth - Establish the vision, strategy and framework that will position our pharmacies as leaders in primary and preventative care services Manage performance of the P&L, understand drivers of variance and take decisive action on areas of risk or opportunity. Be accountable for achieving and reporting on financial plans and KPI's. Identify and manage opportunities for new revenue streams Provide thought leadership, analytical support, and strategic insights on how best to integrate and promote pharmacy services to support our connected health network strategy, working collaboratively with pharmacy and health and wellness teams. Drive marketing initiatives to improve awareness, engagement, and an optimized customer journey Establish strong relationships with senior leaders to align on enterprise objectives and drive growth Ensure programs and services are in compliance with regulatory requirements Lead change management strategies to foster adoption of new scope of practice Proactively work with internal stakeholders to support advocacy efforts for scope expansion and reimbursement of pharmacy services Work closely with technology partners internally and externally to launch necessary tools and technology to effectively help patients and pharmacy team members obtain and deliver services
What You'll Need:
University degree with concentration in Business and/or Healthcare preferred, MBA or equivalent master degree is an asset 5+ years of relevant leadership experience - coaching and managing direct reports Strong background in business strategy and execution with financial acumen and experience managing P&L Ability to develop, lead and/or facilitate presentations to audiences of various levels in a persuasive and professional manner Proven ability to drive results without authority through the creation and management of collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization Successful track record of program development and implementation in a large corporate environment Experience with strategic planning, competitive analysis and economic analysis A creative thinker who is comfortable working with ambiguity, able to multi-task and prioritize workload, and work in a fast-paced environment. Provides solutions by using imaginative approaches where constructive thinking and innovation are required High proficiency in using PowerPoint and excel Ability to work with cross-functional departments to achieve business goals Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Experience with customers research and identifying consumer health care needs and trends. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are essential Experience working in a regulated environment Occasional travel is required within Canada
