Job Description:
The incumbent will provide friendly and efficient cashier transactions at the Food Service location while maintaining a hygienic work area. The Cashier Assistant will assist in stocking shelves and making coffee when able.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Completes cashier transactions and provide correct change if required; Ensure drink fridges, coffee area and cashier shelving are stocked; Provides efficient service, keeping areas clean at all times including server counters; Cleans, cuts and prepares fruit and vegetables for use in daily menu as required; Prepares sandwiches as required; Performs housekeeping duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
Secondary School (Grade 12) diploma; Experience in a food service related industry and knowledge of food preparation an asset. Experience handling cash if applying for cashier positions an asset; Strong organizational skills and ability to multi task; Ability to work independently and/or in a team atmosphere; Ability to work effectively under pressure; Ability of providing speedy, efficient, courteous and tactful service; Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and stock a variety of merchandise, Ability to work flexible hours if required; Excellent interpersonal and communication skill; Knowledge in kitchen sanitation and safety standards an asset.
