Communication Manager

Job Description


· Create implement and oversee advertising marketing and communication content processes programs and strategies that provide a consistent targeted and impactful waste management message and brand development;

· Budget and allocate resources that maximize collaboration efficiency and creativity for consistent branding across marketing and public relation channels;

· Ensure that social and digital marketing efforts and communication activities align with brand identity and key business strategies;

· Support communication and social media strategies on platforms such as Twitter Facebook Instagram Linkedin etc.;

· Collaborate with cross-functional partners media channels agencies and third party service providers to effectively negotiate and purchase the placement of creative and consistent marketing and promotional materials;

· Commission or conduct market research data analysis and/or evaluation to understand key challenges public behaviour targeted audiences and environmental factors that might impact waste management activities;

· Define and monitor key performance indicators for each communication channel;

· Collate and analyze the impact of targeted media coverage;

· Create and manage public relations and marketing / media materials such as press releases events social media content newsletters and the Annual Report;

· Identify and develop strategies to manage communications during potential crisis situations;

· Provide policy advice and recommendations in regard to new and emerging programs and processes;

· Duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or designate.



Recycle NB is a unique organization responsible for the management of waste reduction programs of materials designated by the Minister of Environment and Local Government and the provision of oversight for the collection and recycling of used tires, electronics, paint, used oil and glycol. The organization has a current need for a bilingual team player for a one-year renewable term contract commencing on, or about, February 1, 2021. 

Reporting to the Chief Executive Office, the position is responsible in part for the development and management of annual communication / marketing plans for content strategies, promotional campaigns, innovative marketing and brand awareness initiatives, print and online digital advertisements, press releases, website management, social media platforms, and collateral materials that support consistent and positive moving beyond waste messaging.
