Apply to this amazing Network Engineer opportunity today!What’s in it for you!As a Network Engineer with our Vancouver client, you’ll receive:• Competitive compensation package.• Comprehensive benefits package.• Opportunity to work remotely from Kamloops, Vancouver or Toronto.• Opportunity for domestic travel!What will you do?As a Network Engineer with our Vancouver client, you will:• Troubleshoot/resolve issues efficiently, monitor unassigned tickets and deal with escalated tickets in priority sequence.• Document customer issues, requests, and configurations.• Design and build functional networks based on company’s requirements.• Monitor network performance and assist with maintaining existing core infrastructure.• Recommend upgrades and enhancements based on traffic patterns, demand, customer discussions, etc.• Create network diagrams and network documentation for the Customer designed solutions and core components.• Provide training and guidance to team members.• Maintain required reports and metrics; track problems.• Create MOPs for work activities to be performed within the core.• Acquire knowledge of current technologies and research new technologies to maintain industry standards and provide innovative solutions.How do you qualify?To qualify for the Network Engineer role with our Vancouver client, you must have:• Post-secondary degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering.• 5+ years’ recent work experience in a Network Engineering role.• 3-5 years’ experience with CCIE R&S (Routing & Switching), CCIE SP (Service Provider).• Strong Knowledge/experience of Cisco ASR9K (IOS XR) Cisco 7600 (IOS), ASR1K (IOS XE).• Strong knowledge/experience of Carrier Ethernet technologies.• General understanding of network security (IPS/IDS).• MEF standards knowledge.• Strong knowledge/experience of MPLS Networking.• Knowledge of network management concepts and basic protocols.• Knowledge of / experience with IP and Optical Networking.• Strong knowledge/experience in IP networking, Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP, ISIS), MPLS, IP VPN, VLAN, VLL/VPLS.• Experience with TCP/UDP traffic at the packet level.What Additional experience do you bring?To be considered for the Network Engineer role with our Vancouver client, it’s an asset to have:• Experience with Python or other scripting language.• Scripting/Development experience.• Linux experience.• SDN/VMWare/Virtual networking.• Juniper SRX knowledge (JUNOS).If you are an innovative individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and creatively resolves technical and business support needs, then the Network Engineer role with our Vancouver client could be the perfect opportunity for you!Please contact Mike Innanen with your resume at:firstname.lastname@example.orgFor more information, or click the apply button now!Randstad Professionals CanadaRandstad Canada is committed to building a diverse workforce reflective of the diversity of Canada.
