As a member of the Integrated Outreach Team and Under the general direction of the Manager of Addiction and Integrated Outreach Services and the Clinical Supervisor of Integrated Outreach, the primary goal will be to restore, maintain and enhance the recovery of people seeking general services for addiction and mental health by implementing services consistent with the current Provincial Clinical Models for Mental Health and Addition Services and the philosophy, objectives and standards set by the Integrated Outreach Team.

Responsibilities will include providing informational programming through individual and group counseling sessions to clients in the community and office setting. This position will be expected to assess individual and group needs and implement plans to help clients reach their goals.

This position is designated feild hours as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement



Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Chemical Dependency diploma

Experience
- A minimum of two years of supervised addications experience.
- Diploma in Addiction Counselling
-Valid Saskatchewan Drivers's License
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with clients from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
  • Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice
  • Knowledge of diverse health issues, culture and traditions
  • Knowledge of the health region and community resources
  • Presentation skills
  • Knowledge of the holistic addictions treatment model
  • Knowledge of the development model of recovery (SMRS)
  • Knowledge of addictions screening and assessment tools and procedures
  • Knowledge of the transtheoretical model of change
  • Ability to travel on a daily basis and have access to a reliable vehicle



Additional Information

112 hours of work in a 3 week rotation.

Shifts (days, evenings, nights) including actual hours, date of commencement and temporary end dates are for informational purpose only and may be subject to change.

The successful candidate must provide a satisfactory & valid Criminal Record Check including vulnerable sector query before an Offer of Employment can be made.

Expected Start Date: April 7, 2021
Expected Up To Date: April 6, 2022
