Founded in 2001, with Campuses in both Edmonton and Calgary, MaKami College strives to help people of all ages and backgrounds achieve their educational dreams.MaKami College has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Instructor to Instruct and guide online through our Business Administration Diploma.Primary Responsibilities include:Collaborate with other instructors and team members as requiredMonitoring online progress of students in their programFacilitating online classes via teamsGrading and tracking of studentsCurriculum development and improvementProvide timely and constructive feedback for students and answering student questionsEnsuring students are meeting course objectivesCommunicating expectations of the courseProviding students with educational support and effective study strategiesMotivating students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational processCollaboratively working with faculty to improve course delivery, resources, and curriculumMonitor progress of students in the online course, ensuring their successful attainment of learning outcomes and completion of the programMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's in education, or diploma, a degree in a related field3 years' teaching experience at the post-secondary/adult education/corporate training levelExceptional communication skills (written and verbal); dedication to keeping others informedStrong work ethic, resourceful, and motivation to take initiativeExperience:Previous teaching experience, at the post-secondary/adult education or combination thereofExperience using Moodle, or a similar LMS systemProficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.Ability to work in a team or independentlyFlexible and adaptable to different teaching and tutoring strategies based on student needsStrong personal initiative to seek ways that will improve the curriculum and program deliverySuperior interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and communication skills requiredCreative, innovative and problem-solving skills required This position is a Part-Time opportunity that requires an initial commitment of approximately 10-20 hours per week, with the potential to increase as the program grows.
