Finance Assistant Full time Crewe - Radius Campus Role overview

Location: Crewe – CW1 6BD (15 minute walk from Crewe Train Station) 

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 05:00pm

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Commercial Finance team at our head office in Crewe.

  • What will you be doing as  Purchase Reconciliation Assistant?

  • The reconciliation of diesel and other fuel products purchase invoices from our European suppliers. Identifying, investigating and communicating all pricing and quantity variances with internal departments, country managers and also our European fuel suppliers and network providers:
  • Ensuring variances are dealt with as quickly as possible, appropriate action is taken, controls are developed as necessary and that all issues are fully communicated:
  • Assisting in the calculation of the weekly European transfer prices:
  • Ensuring that weekly estimated cost prices calculated by the commercial team agree to the supplier cost price per the invoice, investigating and reporting any variances:
  • Building good day to day working relationships with our key suppliers and country managers and directors.
  • Involvement in business improvement projects, as directed and as identified autonomously;
  • Develop and implement strong controls and procedures within the finance area, providing a strong base for the continued rapid growth of the business;
  • Work closely with the Finance department, assisting in the management & reconciling of the fuel accruals and prepayment numbers:
  • Full training will be provided

    What experience / skills are we looking for?

  • Strong academic A levels;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (training will be provided where necessary);
  • Good judgement and decision-making skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Previous experience in office administration is desirable but not essential.
