We are seeking a motivated and career-minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) responsible for reporting to and partnering with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of WMIC and CEO of the parent company. The CFO will spend up to 20% of their time as the CFO of the parent company, a holding company, responsible for all finance and accounting functions. The CFO will play a critical role in the development and implementation of the WMIC financial strategy. As a member of the senior leadership team, the CFO will be an advisor to the WMIC President, evaluating and assisting with their sales and financial plans and economic modeling. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization and supports the group CEO in regular financial reporting to the Board of Directors.
Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position in the financial services industry, preferably with some exposure in the mortgage lending industry and M&A. Previously a CCO.

Establish and implement short/long range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
Assess organizational performance against the annual budget and WMIC’s long-term strategy.
Develop management tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
Oversee long-term budgetary planning and costs management to align with WMIC’s strategy.
Manage cash flow and cash flow forecasting to meet operating needs.
Optimize the handling of banking relationships and continually enhance cash positions.
Represent the company externally to investors, regulators, banks, trade associations, etc.
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate finance/accounting department staff.
Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial programs and supporting information systems of the company to include budgeting, tax planning, and conservation of assets.
Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, etc.
Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards including compliance systems.
Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders.
Performs other responsibilities as necessary, including review of legal documents.
Experience in strategic planning and execution; chief compliance officer; and M&A.
Expert knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
Knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
Extensive experience and knowledge in dealing with accounting systems, budgets, internal controls, business planning, and asset management.
Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and spreadsheet programs and applications.
Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
Builds relationships with other departments, key business partners, and regulatory agencies.
