As a data engineer in Data Management, AML/ATF Models and Analytics team, you will contribute to build better way to approach all banking systems data for AML/ATF by using your engineering , analytical and communication skills to work with different business partners across whole Scotiabank. And also we are building web application for AML investigators to present bank wide data more enfficiently. This role will be responsible for developing web application and data desing for the backend in a python framework.

Key Accountabilities:

- Deep Dive into banking source data , performing data profiling and analysis to determine better demmensional/Hierarchical data for AML/ATF model and predict data analysis. 
- Design high efficiency backend datamart to support frontend application within a team
- Develop frontend web application in python framework
- Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code using Python programming language
- Work with Technology partners bank private cloud team to solve infrastructure issues
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Experience / Education:

- Strong knowledge of Dash , flask or one python framework
- Strong knowledge of python, SQL, and Linux 
- Strong knowledge of data lifecycle for customer, account, and transactional data
- Strong effective communication skills and manage expectations with diverse groups for stakeholders
- Oracle Mantas Application experience and knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or engineering
- Strong experience with data modelling and data analysis

This is a temporary role for 12 months
