Intermediate Business Analyst

On behalf of our client Procom is looking for an Intermediate Business Analyst for a 12-month project working in either Calgary or Vancouver, on a large business transformation program.

Job Details

The Business Analyst will support projects in the development of business case documents, requirements gathering, design documents, presentation material, stakeholder engagement and project manager support within the Program in areas such as IT field infrastructure, IoT, mining, engineering, maintenance and processing operations technology systems.

Accountabilities

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.

Work closely with key stakeholders to prioritize requirements and communicate different messages effectively to different audiences.

Liaison between business, operations, and technology and innovation teams to accurately gather, analyze, document, and deliver business requirements.

Perform needs analysis based on business requirements and ensure solutions being proposed meets the organizational and business goals.

Participate project development activities including, but are not limited to, documentation of business value drivers, analysis/research of needs, gathering, documenting and updating business outcomes and conduct information gathering sessions.

Development of concise and professional execute presentation material.
Adapts to changing business priorities and business needs during active design periods; and ability to keep Requirement Definitions and other documentation updated accordingly. Intermediate Business Analyst Must Have Skills

Bilingual Spanish is a requirement.

Bachelors or post-graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or equivalent experience.

Business Analyst with 5 years of Business Analysis or other equivalent competencies.

Project experience in complex environments, including cross-functional, international, or cross-organizational teams and stakeholders across multiple sites, including field operations, head office and regional offices.

Exceptional communications (verbal and written) skills including development of executive presentation material and business justification documents.

Excellent analytical capabilities, problem-solving abilities and strong knowledge of business analysis techniques.

Ability to work comfortably with a high degree of autonomy in an environment of fast paced change and a highly distributed team.

Highly drive, effective, versatile and action-oriented.

Proficient in the use of and other tools used to capture business processes and create road maps.

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (O365), SharePoint (Online), Visio, Teams.

Intermediate Business Analyst Nice to have Skills

Experience with IT technologies including industrial networking, software development, control systems, wireless/LTE/WiFi, and industrial embedded hardware is beneficial. Industrial infrastructure experience is an asset.

Familiarity with Mining or Natural Resources industry is preferred.

Knowledge of BABOK (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge) is an asset.

Knowledge of TOGAF Exploration & Mining Business Capability Models and their use in digital strategy development is considered an asset.

Mining industry experience is an asset, specifically in areas of mining, processing, maintenance, and engineering operations technologies. Intermediate Business Analyst Location
