On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Business Analyst for a 6 month contract in Calgary, AB.

Job Details

Creation and completion of user stories
Sign off for user stories by the business SMEs
Sign off for solution testing success
Creation of transition to support and user documentation

Business Analyst

Responsibilities
Identify, evaluate and ensure a clear understanding of the needs of clients and stakeholders
Evaluate information from a variety of sources, reconcile conflicts and then create a requirement traceability matrix against the solution architecture, design, test planning and hand over to support.
Requires risk analysis, cost/benefit, and feasibility and gap analysis
Draft project requirements, write test scenarios and plans
Meeting with business SMEs to gather business requirements and understand business processes.
Document user stories based on these business requirements.
Work collaboratively with technical team members to implement solution.
Leading/facilitating meetings to elicit requirements and present/share ideas and findings.
Testing of solution with business SMEs and technical team.
Active participation in project core team meetings.
Creation of transition to support and user documentation.

Business Analyst Must Have Skills
Proven track record of working on medium to large enterprise projects which have involved integration with existing systems or custom development.

Ability to manage business outcomes and stakeholder expectations.

Ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups both technical and business.
Possess technical knowledge to work well with developers, and bring sound business knowledge to IT projects.
Excellent communication skills, pro-active problem solver and collaborative team player.
Solutions must be communicated in a professional and concise manner including PowerPoint presentations, reports and documentation.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.

Able to work independently to deliver results while also working collaboratively within a technical team to delivery high quality work.
Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly-credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.
Degree/Diploma (specialization in HR ERP implementations)

Experience working on Testing team

Experience working with third party vendors to implement enterprise wide solutions.
